Harmony International Development Inc. strives to revitalize the West Englewood and North Lawndale communities block by block. We use our construction training programs, Train To Hire (USDOL RAPIDS APPRENTICESHIP)  and Hard Hat Ready (ILLINOIS WORKS PRE-APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM), To empower individuals from historically underserved communities by providing tuition-free, hands-on technical training and dedicated support. We are committed to bridging the gap for those who have traditionally lacked access to the resources and opportunities needed to enter the industry, equipping them with the lifelong skills necessary to transition into a high-wage workforce and a sustainable career in the construction trades. Along with construction training program we have initiated the Homegrown Gardens and Get Youth Moving community programs.
 
Our mission is to engage urban communities in growth building opportunities that foster health, education, and job readiness. 

Our target clients are young adults, low-income individuals, women, veterans, justice involved individuals, and individuals from underrepresented communities. The geographical areas we currently serve are West Englewood and North Lawndale. Our program aim is to encourage confidence and character building in our participants through program modules. We take a holistic approach to supporting participations towards successful completion. We look forward to continuing to serve urban communities throughout the nation, creating change block by block.
